Seminar

Before You Leave Earth is a 3 part series which can be taught as a weekend seminar or condensed into one individual session.  The three main sessions are as follows:

It’s not Fair

From a young age we are taught what’s fair and what’s not fair.  We can spend our lives making sure everything is fair.  We are determined not to be shortchanged, so we can get what we think we deserve.  This session deals with the fact that our lives here on earth are rarely fair from our perspective.  What will matter in the end?  We will look at the fairness of God and his grace and mercy.

God’s work, God’s way

It’s not fun being left out or left behind.  We all have personal dreams we want to achieve someday.  What would be our reaction if we knew we would never reach our dreams?  Can we trust God with our future?  He has a plan for us that will only work if we do it His way.  Learn to Let God be God, find purpose, and grow your faith.

Preparing to Go

Our life here on earth is very short.  God has a unique task for each of us, that He has equipped us to handle.  We will look at personal ministry, trusting God, and investing ourselves into what matters most while we are still on earth.

Session rates are as follows:

  • Local (Atlanta area):  $250 for the first session and $100 each additional session.
  • National:  $500 for the first session and $200 for each additional session plus travel expenses.
  • Please contact Allie to talk about your session or multiple day event.

Allie is also availabe to speak on other topics to suit your group.  Some of them include:

Getting Motivated

Peer pressure can exert an incredible amount of influence on us.  From the clothes we wear, or the kind of music we listen to, even our choice in soft drinks can be influenced by what others around us say or do.  We can be tempted into changing our behavior so others will accept us,  but this approval can come with a very high price tag.

The Secret of Remaining

As Jesus prepared his disciples to face life without his physical presence, He impressed upon them the importance of staying close to him spiritually.  He said, “Remain in me.”  If you ever longed to understand the secret of spiritual growth, you will find it in this overview of Jesus’ words in John 15.

Married For Life

In life today there are many things that can get in our path.  We prioritize what needs to get done each day and what is important.  Marriage is one of those things that can get put aside or compromised.  God has a plan for our marriages and this session helps us to remember the reasons why we should not compromise or put aside working on our marriages.

What am I Doing Wrong?

We often make the mistake of thinking that “right living” will lead to “easy living”.  It makes us feel like it is worth the “trouble” when life is running smoothly.  But when trauma strikes we shake our fist in accusation.  Suffering comes even when we don’t think we have earned it.  It came to Jesus.  He teaches us how to deal with it.

Wonderfully Made

God is the master craftsman, he lovingly works on His masterpiece.  Do you see yourself as a work of art?  Psalm 139 can have a profound impact on how we view ourselves.  Learn how to see yourself as God sees you.

Who Am I?

In this session we discuss finding your unshakable identity in Christ. We are all quick to say our lives are full. Candidly sharing from my own journey, I explain how God can use the circumstances of our lives to cut through the clutter and draw us to His perfect plan.

Putting Beauty In It’s Place

Proverbs 31:30 says “Charm is deceptive and beauty is fleeting.” Yet, most women today spend time, money and energy trying to attain it. The media and societal pressure leads us to believe we must be flawless. We look at solid Biblical teaching to address these very sensitive issues. I use humor and personal anecdotes to bring focus to this issue

A Woman’s Guide To Spiritual Wellness

Physicians today are focusing medical interventions more on prevention than on treatment. Most prefer physical wellness for the body over the treatment of illness. As believers, we should challenge ourselves to seek spiritual wellness for our soul. Wellness involves the total person. Therefore, individuals should care for themselves physically, spiritually, emotionally, and mentally. As women, we are particularly challenged to juggle the many demands of our lives so we can nurture our families and manage our responsibilities. This session is designed to help you understand the biblical teachings in this area and to apply the Godly principles in your lives today.

When The Going Gets Tough (The Son Comes Out)

As the mother of an autistic child, I use personal stories to talk about the tough times in life. When life gets tough for us or those close to us, what should our response be? Where is God? Does He have anything to say about this? The Bible has plenty to say about what God’s response is to our tough times. We will also discuss what we can do and where we can turn when the going gets tough.

Can You Hear Me?

Does God actually speak to us today? Can God speak to me? These are questions we all have asked. In this session, we discuss how God wants to guide each of us and desires to communicate with us.
